Europa.eu serves as the primary, official web portal for the European Commission, acting as the centralized gateway to other institutional websites.

It was the first project I worked for at the European Commission and my role was to maintain and optimize the platform's large-scale architecture, with one of its main complexity: being a multilingual website.

The system is configured to support all official EU languages, ensuring maximum accessibility and democratic reach for citizens, meaning that one "edition" from the webmasters meant 28+ editions, validations and publications. A tedious work, that I tried to improve, providing back-office changes working closely with the webmasters' collaboration.

Furthermore, europa.eu implement an external API connection to dynamically integrate and display news and official communications directly from the EU newsroom.
