ERA represents a significant European Commission deliverable where I co-architected the Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 migration strategy. This project was one of the pioneer to be migrated and implement pre-built European Open Source Components (OEL), which was, at the institution level, the first part of the overall migration (which I was not part of).

Beyond core Drupal functionality, the EC maintains an open source development framework featuring custom libraries and standardized theme components for agency-wide deployment.

The migration timeline spanned 3-4 months, leveraging a custom utility class to render most of the content types using a simple entry function.

Each fields / paragraphs were also preprocessed and templated to render information as per EC requirements.
